Purpose

To come alongside the men at David’s Courage as they work on their recovery and explore their faith.  We seek to be a friend and support, in what can be a very lonely time of facing fears, realities, and new growth.

Choosing Mentors

We invite men who demonstrate a passion for personal growth as well as serving at David’s Courage. Once you have completed the equipping, we match you with someone.

Equipping

We offer a New Mentor Orientation the first Tuesday of each month at David’s Courage at 6:30 p.m. RSVP if you intend to join us. We also gather that first Tuesday of each month at 7:15 p.m. at David’s Courage for a time of continued equipping and encouragement in your service.

Role of a Mentor

-Meet 1-on-1 once every 7-14 days with one of our residents during their stay in our program at David’s Courage.

-Build a relationship through getting to know one another, share in conversation over a meal or cup of coffee at David’s Courage. You are welcome to join us for a meal anytime.

-Offer encouragement as our men explore their faith and develop a personal devotional life.

-Pray with our men and for them.
